ProClot is a highly effective hemostatic remedy made from the natural substance chitosan, which is designed to stop various types of bleeding. It works independently of blood coagulation processes in the body, so it can be used in patients with hemophilia and other blood coagulation disorders, which is an important factor. Its action is associated with the formation of a powerful mucoadhesive barrier at the site of the wound upon contact with blood and other body fluids. The hemostatic effect is due to binding of positively charged elements of the medical product with negatively charged erythrocytes. When in contact with blood, it promotes the absorption of the liquid fraction of blood and forms a single gel-like mass, which helps to stop bleeding. Due to the large molecular weight of molecules that are saturated with hydroxyl groups, it forms hydrogen bonds with water (which makes up 90-95% of blood), which leads to the aggregation of formed blood elements and coagulation factors at the point of contact with the subsequent formation of a blood clot. We used this product in (n=119) cases of use of this product in wounded people with gunshot injuries of soft tissues at stabilization points, advanced surgical groups and mobile hospitals. A good hemostatic effect was noted for bleeding from soft tissue in the case of gunshot wounds and domestic injuries. There is currently no experience of stopping arterial bleeding from the great vessels of the limbs, given that the main temporary method of hemostasis is a tourniquet. Complications when using these products in the form of various pyrogenic reactions, toxic effects, secondary suppuration, allergic reactions were not noted. It can be used at the prehospital stage as a hemostatic remedy for bleeding of various genesis, taking into account the indicated indications and contraindications specified by the manufacturer. For the use of hemostatic remedy ProClot intra-abdominal bleeding at injuries liver, kidneys, spleen needs further scientific and practical research.

Most recently, my husband accidentally shot a trim nail into his finger—there was quite a bit of bleeding. We applied ProClot and it stopped the bleeding almost instantly. It was incredibly effective and gave us peace of mind until we could get proper medical attention. It’s reassuring to know we have something on hand that works quickly. I highly recommend ProClot for anyone looking to be prepared for unexpected injuries, especially those taking blood thinners, where a minor scrape can result in significant bleeding. Definitely a staple in our first aid kits!

ProClot provided me with a safe and effective way to deal with a deep cut on my arm, stopping the bleeding and killing the germs, too. I have used it also on my dog, when she got a cut on her paw. Works well! It is a lifesaver! It also provided me with relief from insect bites and a rash caused by exposure to irritating plant oils. I am very happy with ProClot.

Last year while I was walking in a park and without realizing it, I contracted Poison Ivy. In previous years I had had it about three times. I never managed to find relief with any other product on the market, other than PROCLOT.

In my case, using this product in the initial stage of the outbreak reduced the itching tremendously, for several hours!!

What I did was apply it twice; morning and night, ensuring I did not have uncontrollable itching and scratching, The rash did not become infected.

It is quite comforting to have a product that has reliably made a horrible rash much more bearable.

From my own experience, I can say that I do not want to be without PROCLOT. In my case, it worked better than many of the products I have tried. It is worth mentioning that I did not have any adverse reactions when using PROCLOT.

While rough housing with my dogs at the beach, I got quite a gash on my shin and just happened to have ProClot with me.

I truly love ProClot!! It will replace a lot of stuff in your medicine cabinet. I've used it on real bad burns, ant bites, wasp stings, bleeds, and busted blisters from my brace and it amazes me how good it works on everything. I feel privileged that I have been able to use the ProClot product. I have used ProClot on cuts, scrapes, and burns with great results. The bleeding from the cuts stopped quickly after the application of the product. The burn was a blister that broke open leaving a raw wound. The ProClot gel provided a coating over the wound allowing it to heal quickly.

The most impressive use of the product occurred this fall. A friend was at our home loading a trailer on his pick up truck. He dropped the tongue of the trailer on his finger. The accident resulted in him cutting a chunk of flesh from his middle finger. His hand needed to be cleaned but he was in too much pain. I knew the product had ingredients which would protect from bacterial growth. I put ProClot on the bleeding wound and placed a bandage on it. When he arrived at the emergency room the staff was impressed. Unfortunately he couldn’t remember the name of the product. He was treated at the hospital and the the wound healed without any complications.
